Symbolizes health and longevity
Firstly, happy birthday if your birthday is in June! The first birthstone that I’m doing for June is the Pearl. This post is a tad late, my apologies for that.
Pearls are valued quite a lot, like gemstones, but they are actually minerals and not organic gemstones. Even though this is the case, they are no less amazing than a gemstone. How amazing is it that they are created by a tiny particle such as a very fine grain of sand entering the shell of the mollusk and in turn being coated with the same substance that coats the inside of the shell, usually called nacre or mother-of-pearl. Eventually the grain of sand becomes a pearl? Absolutely amazing!
A pearl was just a grain of sand and it turned into this stunning iridescent beauty! So, due to the pearl being formed due to an irritation, it is thought to hold the key to overcoming oppression and pain. It is said to signify faith, charity, innocence and to enhance personal integrity.
You get fresh water pearls and salt water pearls. The perfect pearl is a perfectly round one, but you do get other shaped pearls and these are known as baroque pearls. You can also get pearls in all different colours, although sometimes they are stained that colour.

I created a necklace with two different colour blue fresh water pearls and a yellow one so that people could see that you don’t only get them in cream or iridescent. This necklace was made with fresh water pearls and crystal. The price is R190. To place your order, please complete the form on my ‘Contact me’ page. I would also love to hear from you, so please leave a comment below.
Keep your crystal on and your sparkle strong
