Behind the collection

I decided to do a collection on all the seasons of a year because I thought it would be great to capture the beauty in each season. To me, each season has such beauty in it, and just as other beautiful things in nature, I wanted to try and capture that beauty in a necklace.

I started with Autumn…well…because that was the season we were currently in at that time. I wanted to recreate the reds, browns, golds and coppers and I added a little sparkle because the season seems to sparkle sometimes.

Next, I did Winter necklaces because that was our next season. Now, I have to admit, we don’t get snow here where I am, so these necklaces were basically a wish my heart was making. I love Winter, to me it’s a magical time of the year and I believe it’s one of the most beautiful seasons.

The next season that’s coming is Spring and I will be doing necklaces that show off all the beautiful colours of Spring. One of the positive points of Spring is that it’s very colourful and I have a lot to work with. I can’t wait to start these necklaces in order to show of this lovely season that signifies new birth.

Summer will be the season after Spring, that I will be creating in a necklace and it should be very interesting. Summer is quite an open season…pretty much anything goes with this season. I personally do not enjoy the heat in Summer because I hate sweating, but it does not retract from the fact that this is also a beautiful season, full of possibilities.
