I have to admit, it has felt like life is passing me by at an alarming rate lately and I’m scared I get left behind. I have also not been well since last week Friday, which means that I’ve basically been useless since then. I’m not sure what’s wrong, but I’ve been extremely weak and dizzy, so I stayed in bed for the most part (I know…unheard of!). My family has been so wonderful and my daughter has been trying to do things for me because I’m not feeling well and once again, I realized that I raised a good one and it makes my heart so happy as a parent.

I thought I’d start this little update post which I’ll do every now and then when I wanted to update you on what’s happening behind the scenes, so that you can be included.

I am currently busy making the Tourmaline Birthstone necklace. This is a bit late, but I had to get the stones and that took a bit of time.

For those that don’t now, I am also an author and I have a blog for that too (Ondeane Lourens) and I brought out a planner and have decided to make it a gift option for people as well, by adding a bracelet to it as an optional extra. That means that I am mixing my two talents.

I am also a graphic designer and I design book covers, business cards, flyers, social media posts, etc. and I have been busy with a book cover for a friend of mine.

I also do editing and have edited her book as well. And…yes, there’s more…I also own a Tutor Centre for Home-schooled children and have been busy dropping of flyers everywhere for that. My daughter is my only student at the moment and she’s in Grade 10 and she’s currently busy writing her end of year exams.

I am also busy writing a book and I’m quite close to the end of my first draft which makes me exceedingly excited. And I’m a musician and a singer/songwriter and I’m getting ready for my first public appearance which I am super nervous about. My confidence is not very high with that, so I’m trying to build my confidence before the gig. Wish me luck!

So, as you can see, I am quite busy. I think that I may be burning my candle at both ends, but I just want to do everything! I’m not sure if there’s others out there like that? But I feel like I don’t want to miss out on anything, so I try and do everything.
