Symbolizes Courage
Aquamarine was named in 1598 from ‘aqua marina‘ which is Latin for ‘water of the sea‘. This is a variety of beryl that is transparent to translucent and is blue, blue-green, or green in colour. The blue one is the most valuable of them all and the darker the blue, the more valuable it is.
It was the eighth foundation stone in the wall of the New Jerusalem. It is also sometimes known as the ‘Serene one‘, not only because people say it calms nerves, but also because blue is a calming colour.
What is nice is that this is an affordable stone, if you go for the lighter shades of blue, which will work for someone that would like a birthstone necklace, but can’t afford high prices.
Brazil is the largest producer of Aquamarine. Blue Topaz and Blue Zircon can be easily mistaken as Aquamarine.
This necklace was made with Aquamarine Crystal gemstones and costume silver chain. The price is R140. To place your order, please complete the form on my ‘Contact me’ page. I would also love to hear from you, so please leave a comment below.
Keep your crystal on and your sparkle strong
