My Thoughts

Falling for Zeke was an inspirational story about not judging a book by its cover and helping those in need, even when you don’t feel like it. I enjoyed Sara’s writing style because the book was easy to read. I was committed to the story quickly because I wanted to know what would happen to Samantha and what her story was and why Zeke didn’t like her in the beginning.

I felt moved by how the story progressed and how the characters molded into each other. The age-old trope of not judging a book by its cover never grows old. The story didn’t always keep me guessing but it didn’t mean that I enjoyed it any less. It’s always interesting how an author can write a broken person so well and their emotions and actions and most often, their bad choices. Sara did this very well.

The dialogue was easy to follow and I didn’t have any issues that stood out to me. I loved all the characters that were in Sam’s life, except the bad guys which means they were written well. I enjoyed the family feeling with all the ‘uncles’. I really enjoyed the fact that Sam could knock Zeke on his rear end and that she got to exact her revenge on Gregory as well.

Sara also wove faith into the story without making it completely in your face, so I believe that even a non-believer would enjoy the read. This is book one in the series but each book in the series ends the story between the two main characters. The next story is about one of the other security guys. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys romance and suspense novels. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
