Book Summary
A new mystery… a growing threat… Will she be able to stop them?
Claire Abelard has never been normal. She has always been able to see and communicate with energy projections, or the entities more commonly known as ghosts. As an agent of the Bureau for Historical Preservation, her abilities come in handy on the job, but they tend to complicate every other aspect of her life.
Now, four months after a series of world-shattering events in Galveston, Claire’s life is still in turmoil. No one at Bureau headquarters in Boston will even acknowledge the existence of the sinister secret organization known as The Syndicate, but Claire is convinced they are behind the disappearances of dozens of rogue energy projections.
When Claire hears that rogues in New Orleans are behaving strangely, she immediately joins the investigation. As she and her fellow agents unravel the new mystery, they discover The Syndicate has more ominous plans for the rogues than simply making them disappear… and it appears they have plans for Claire as well.
Ghost Agents: Revelations is a cozy, paranormal mystery that continues the story of Claire Abelard and her work with the Bureau for Historical Preservation.

My Thoughts
I like that Nita wrote a clean story that didn’t make me feel uncomfortable. It was easy to read and so enjoyable that the story goes very quickly and doesn’t drag along. I was committed to the story very quickly because I have read and reviewed book 1 for a blog tour and I wanted to know what happens next. I was not disappointed.
The storyline is different from the usual ghost stories and I enjoyed reading about the bureau and the history behind some places. I’m not really a history fan but I enjoyed what was added to the book and how it was put forward. The twists and turns were very well done and I enjoyed following their road through the mystery. The story kept me guessing for the most part but there were a few times that I called it when something was revealed. It didn’t make the story any less enjoyable though.
Just like in the previous book, Nita brings the different towns to life and I could imagine them as I read. I felt transported into the story which is always a credit to the authors writing skills. I enjoyed reading more about Claire and her antics. She is a strong female protagonist and I really enjoyed that. She is a little reckless most of the time though but that adds to her character. I also liked that she has strong values and sticks to them no matter what resistance she receives.
The dialogue was good and easy to follow and suited each character. I had no problems with it. All the characters really made the story pop! I loved most of the different projections and the personalities they had. I enjoyed trying to guess who the bad guys were and being chuffed when I was right in some instances. I am interested to see what happens further with Werner Vogel.
Revelations is book 2 in the Ghost Agents Trilogy and it didn’t disappoint.
I would recommend you read the Ghost Agents: Revelations if you are someone that likes Paranormal History with a little Romance and Mystery thrown in for good measure. Book 3’s blog tour will be coming up tomorrow on my blog. Keep an eye out for it if you would like to know if the story continues to stay at the standard it is or if it disappoints.
I previously reviewed her first book in this series, Ghost Agents. You can read the review here.
