The day was Friday and the place was Skoobs Theatre of Books in Monte Casino. I attended a book launch for the new book by Sian B. Claven, named ‘Buried’.

Sian went to a lot of trouble for her book launch and I was very impressed by it. I loved the question and answer session and hearing a little more about how Sian works and what makes her tick was also nice to hear.

She had gone to a lot of effort and had even made bookmarks, fridge magnets and keyrings for her guests.

While we waited for the launch to commence, the guests chatted with each other and with Sian and a few of us took the opportunity for a photo shoot with her as well.

Toni Cox (another best selling author) was the MC and asked Sian most of the questions, they are also best friends. The question and answer session had quite a few funny moments and Sian had also asked a fellow author, namely; Jann Weeratunga to read from her book. This was well received and Sian had a laugh at some of the faces in the audience.

I decided to spoil myself and get one of the limited copies of Sian’s book and I asked her to autograph it for me. Even though I’m not a horror fan, I couldn’t wait to read it.

There are still a few copies available at Skoobs and you can go and get yours there before it’s too late.
