Well, it’s been quite the month! I am done editing my friend’s book, but we are still busy with the book cover design because we are trying many different designs…I think I’m on cover 15 already, quite hectic, but a good cover is very important.
Unfortunately, because of how hectic my month has been, I have not gotten to doing my MailChimp or Goodreads account. That means that November will need to be the month I do that.
I am almost at the end of the first draft of my book ‘Iridescent’ and I’m still pretty excited about it.
My 2019 Planner is a whole different story. This has also been keeping me very busy because the publisher that I was going to use and that I based my prices on, pulled out and said she can’t bind the number of pages that I have, even though I did give them this amount when I first mailed her, but I’m not going to go on that rant again. I have now also spoken to about 4 publishers and either they can’t bind it, or they are asking almost R20 000 more than the first company and it also means that the price will be way too much. I don’t give up easily, but I am quite tempted.
The last time I wrote this, my daughter was writing her Term 3 tests and now she’s writing her end of year exams. She will be done writing on the 23rd of November and then I will need to mark her papers when the memo’s become available after that. Not looking forward to marking the Mathematics and Physics papers, they make me want to crawl up into a little ball and cry.
I have been handing out the pamphlets for the tutoring centre to all the schools and crèches in the area. I pray they will bear fruit. I have definitely driven out quite a bit of petrol doing so (haha).
That’s it from me for now…
