About the author

Tshepiso Dumasi was born in a small village in Limpopo, Teneriffe, and grew up in the Vaal. He holds a National Diploma in Marketing, a B-Tech Degree, and an M-Tech from the Vaal University of Technology; he is currently studying B-Comm Economics with Unisa. By profession, Tshepiso is a Business Leader and is currently living in Kempton Park with his wife Seapehi Dumasi and their three kids, Oreneile, Tintswalo, and Tiyani Dumasi. Tshepiso has had a wonderful eighteen-year career in corporate; from being a Sales Representative to becoming CEO of multinational organizations. He has had the opportunity to travel around the world because of his career and this has provided him with valuable knowledge from various leaders across the globe. Tshepiso recently ventured into the entrepreneurial world and this has presented different challenges and opportunities in his life especially his leadership skills. Tshepiso
enjoys playing golf, running, and traveling. He admits that overall, he enjoys participating in high endurance activities. ‘I summited Kilimanjaro in 2013 and I further participate in local marathons’ Tshepiso says.

Getting to know the author a little more…

1. When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

This was in 2016 when I had the revelation of mentoring and coaching young people on leadership. I could not find any material I could present to the young people, as a result I decided to write my own material.

2. How long does it take you to write a book?

It has taken me 12 months to write and conclude the book.

3. What is your work schedule like when you’re writing?

I have other business which occupy me during the day. I typically use the evenings and weekends to write

4. What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I enjoy writing in my head and living it before putting pen to paper

5. Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?

From my 18 years in corporate and well as my spiritual journey with God

6. When did you write your first book and how old were you?

I wrote my first book in 2018 and I was 40 years.

7. What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

Travelling, playing golf and most of the times I get new topics for my next books when I am travelling and playing golf

8. What does your family think of your writing?

My wife thinks that what I write is who I am

9. What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?

That I am emotionally connected. I thought that I was not an empathetic but writing about leadership has allowed me to connect with my emotions more closely

10. Do you have any suggestions to help someone become a better writer? If so, what are they?

Oh yes, discover your purpose first. You can only successfully write about something you are passionate about.

11. As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?

I always knew that I was a commercial person.
