Already Victorious – Walking in Faith Before You See the Breakthrough

I’ve heard many Christians say, “I already have the victory in my finances and business, I’m just walking it out,” when they’re waiting on the Lord’s timing for something. I’ve even heard Joyce Meyer say it and I always just assumed I kind of get the gist of the meaning but the more that I wait on the Lord and His timing, I decided I want to know what the actual meaning is so that I can have victory sooner and not go around the same mountain for the next 40 years.

So, I went searching and researching and found that when a Christian says, “I already have the victory in my finances and business, I’m just walking it out,” they’re speaking from a place of faith, not from visible results. Here’s what I found they usually mean:

1. They Are Standing on God’s Promises

They believe that God has promised provision, success, or breakthrough in His Word (e.g., Philippians 4:19, Deuteronomy 8:18, Jeremiah 29:11). So even if they haven’t seen it yet, they trust that it’s already done in the spiritual realm and will manifest in the natural at the right time which is usually God’s time and not ours (I know, it hurts that it’s not our timing).

2. Faith Speaks the End Result

This way of speaking is often based on Romans 4:17, which says that God “calls things that are not as though they were.” They’re aligning their words with the outcome they believe God has already secured for them, declaring victory as a present reality, even if the bank account says otherwise. This means that we have to ACT like we believe and not look depressed and down because we haven’t received our breakthrough yet. We need to look like we believe the victory is ours.

3. They Are Choosing to Walk by Faith, Not Sight

According to 2 Corinthians 5:7, Christians are called to walk by faith, not by what they see. So “walking it out” means they’re continuing to take steps in obedience; running their business, sowing, budgeting, trusting, while waiting for the breakthrough to appear physically. Once again, that means you keep going and you never stop praying!

4. It’s a Declaration of Trust, Not Denial

They’re not denying their current situation, they may still be struggling or not seeing the fruit yet but they’re choosing to trust God’s timing and faithfulness rather than letting fear or lack define their outlook. Let me tell you, this is not always easy. When your circumstances are staring you eyeball to eyeball, your faith starts dipping like a lightbulb losing its juice. You need to keep your lightbulb glowing! I’ve seen that confessing my victory out loud has a major impact on this and keeping my faith up. Singing worship when you’re taking a dip also helps a lot.

In Short:

It’s a faith-filled mindset that says, “God has already made a way. I don’t see it yet, but I’m moving forward in confidence, because I believe it’s already mine.” And amen to that! Always remember to speak life over your life and into your circumstances because life or death is in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).

I also found a few faith-based affirmations that will help support this mindset of already having the victory; they are below:

Faith-Based Affirmations for Business & Financial Victory

Say these out loud daily:

  1. “God is my provider, and He never fails.”
  2. “Even if I don’t see it yet, the victory is already mine.”
  3. “My business is blessed because I put God first.”
  4. “I walk by faith and not by sight.”
  5. “I declare increase, favour, and wisdom over my finances.”
  6. “God is working behind the scenes for my good.”
  7. “I sow in faith and I reap in joy.”
  8. “Doors of opportunity are opening at the right time.”
  9. “The work of my hands is blessed and fruitful.”
  10. “I’m not waiting to win—I’m walking in the victory Jesus already won.”

Then, as a little bonus, I asked ChatGPT to use this info and make a Bible study that will help solidify the victory mindset and below is what it gave me. I’m quite impressed with the outcome, I must say. I hope it will bless you and help you change your mindset when it comes to walking in victory.

Bible Study: Walking in Victory (Even Before You See It)

Theme: Faith in God’s Promises for Provision and Success

Opening Scripture:

2 Corinthians 5:7“For we live by faith, not by sight.”

Discuss: What does it look like to live by faith in your finances or business when things aren’t working out yet?

1. God Is Your Source

Philippians 4:19“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”

  • What needs are you trusting God to meet?
  • How can you remind yourself that your business or job is not your source—God is?

2. God Has Already Made a Way

Isaiah 46:10“I make known the end from the beginning… My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”

Romans 4:17“…the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”

  • In what ways can you start speaking God’s promises as if they’ve already come true?
  • Can you think of something you prayed for in the past that eventually came true? Use it as a faith anchor.

3. Victory Is a Spiritual Reality Before It Becomes a Physical One

Ephesians 1:3“Praise be to the God… who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

Hebrews 11:1“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Talk about how to build confidence in what God is doing behind the scenes.

4. Keep Walking It Out in Obedience

Deuteronomy 28:12“The Lord will open the heavens… to bless all the work of your hands.”

Galatians 6:9“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

  • What are some practical steps of obedience you can take while waiting for breakthrough?
  • How can you stay encouraged during the waiting?

Closing Prayer

Lord, thank You that victory is mine in Christ—even when I don’t see it yet. Strengthen my faith to walk in confidence, speak Your promises, and keep working with excellence. I trust that You are the God of provision and breakthrough, and I choose to walk in that truth today. Amen.
